“All the wood is gone,” Paula Scott, who works at Twinbrook Nursery, said at 11 a.m. Monday.
Soon after the nursery on Franklin Avenue got a shipment, a pair of customers cleaned them out. One woman purchased 10 bundles of firewood, Scott said. The customers said they would use the wood in their wood stoves if the power went out, she said.
“Power I guess is the most important thing,” Scott said.
But the nursery wasn’t out of everything Monday. There were still snow shovels and sleds in stock. And plenty of pansies.
“We have pansies and there is a snow storm coming,” Scott said.
A blizzard warning is in effect for New Jersey from 12 a.m. Tuesday to 12 a.m. Wednesday, and the state could get between 12 and 20 inches of snow, according to AccuWeather.com.
