Bayonne Fire Leaves 19 Homeless, No Injuries Reported Firefighters worked in frigid conditions Thursday to contain a blaze that tore through the top floor of a three-story building in Bayonne, Chief Keith Weaver said in a statement.  Firefighters arrived at 247 Broadway around 1:24 p.m. and saw flames pouring from the top windows of the building. Working from outside the structure, firefighters brought the two-alarm blaze under control in about 40 minutes.  An adjacent building sustained water damage but the fire itself was kept to 247 Broadway, Weaver said.
