Essex County Teen Nabbed In String Of Hackettstown Car Burglaries, Credit Card Thefts An Essex County teen was charged following a string of alleged car burglaries and credit card thefts in Hackettstown, authorities said. The 16-year-old boy is accused of stealing credit cards and several other items from a car on the 200 block of East Baldwin Street around 10 a.m. on Dec. 3, 2020, Hackettstown Police said. Four days later, the teen allegedly stole a car from the 700 block of Washington Street that was later recovered in Newark.
