Georgia Fugitive Found Shot In Union Backyard, 4 Men In Custody: Police Four Newark men including two with prior arrests were arrested after a man was shot in Union Township on Monday, April 8, authorities said. Quazir Robinson, 18, Dabson Fofana, 21, Yaleem Prothro, 23 and Mecca Latham, 23 have all been charged with aggravated assault and numerous weapons offenses in the shooting of a 44-year-old man in the backyard of a home at  Carnegie Place near Laurel Avenue, Union Township police said in a release. Union Police: Repeat Bank Robber Arrested After Pursuit Through Snow Storm A man who police say robbed a pair of Union Township banks was arrested after a foot pursuit during this week's Nor'easter, authorities said. Union Township police responded to a panic alarm from the Morris Avenue TD Bank on Wednesday around 3:50 p.m., the department said in a press release. Once there, employees provided them with a description of the suspect who fled with cash. Man, 22, Critical After Self-Inflicted Union County Gun Range Shooting A 22-year-old man who turned the gun on himself over the weekend at a Union County shooting range was in critical condition Monday, authorities said. The man had gone to RTSP on Route 22 with three friends when he fired three shots down the range, then shot himself around 7:20 p.m. Saturday, Union Township Police Director Dan Zieser said. The unidentified victim was taken to University Medical Center in Newark, where he remained in critical condition, Zieser said.

The man went into a Union Center bank without properly wearing the face mask, and proceeded to curse out the manager and spit in his face after being asked to fix it, Union Township police said.
