The suspects — whose names were not released — were stopped by Roxbury Township Police for acting suspiciously on Friday, April 15, the department said. A follow-up investigation was launched after the suspects told officers conflicting stories, police said. The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while using the crosswalk on Route 10 West near South Street in Roxbury around 6:30 p.m., township police said. The vehicle — which may have been a pickup truck — fled the scene before police arrived, authorities said.
