Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Car In Linden: Police A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in Linden on Monday, Oct. 2 authorities said. The victim, who has not been identified, was crossing E. St. George Avenue from the Roselle Street side when he was struck by an SUV traveling eastbound, Linden police said.  The victim was transported to Trinitas Regional Medical Center in critical condition and was later pronounced deceased, police said. The occupants of the SUV were not injured in the crash and are cooperating with the investigation, police said The crash remains under investigation, and anyone with information is urged …

4-Year-Old Boy On Bicycle Critical After Being Struck By Car In Linden A 4-year-old boy was critically injured after he was struck by a car while riding his bicycle with his dad in Linden on Thursday, Sept. 15, authorities said. The boy was with his 32-year-old dad when they were hit by a vehicle at Roselle Street across from E. St. George Avenue, toward Chestnut Street around 7:25 a.m., police said.  The boy was taken to Newark University Hospital where he was in critical condition. His father suffered minor injuries. Man Charged In Linden Bar Stabbing Released A Linden man accused of stabbing a 45-year-old victim in the chest outside of a local bar earlier this month was charged then released by police, authorities said Monday. Officers responding to Mike's Tavern on Roselle Street found the victim outside with a stab wound in the chest around 10:40 p.m. Oct. 9, Linden Police Lt. Christopher Guenther said. The victim was taken to the Trinitas Regional Medical Center with the non life-threatening injury, and Carrington Harrell, 50, was identified as a suspect. Update: Man Killed In Linden Motorcycle Crash Was Fords Resident, 21 Authorities in Linden Thursday identified the man killed in a motorcycle the day before as  Moustafa Elgendi, 21, of Fords.  Elgendi was riding a 2004 Suzuki north on Roselle Street collided with a 2007 Honda CRV around 6:20 p.m. Wednesday night.  Elgendi was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of the Honda, a 21-year-old Brooklyn man, was airlifted to University Hospital in Newark in critical condition.
