A tractor-trailer overturned blocking all lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 9:30 a.m. on Friday, March 29 southbound north of Interchange 10 in Edison Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation. A wrong-way crash closed a portion of the NJ Turnpike up for hours on Labor Day. The accident happened just before 1:40 a.m. on the northbound side of the Turnpike in Carneys Point, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Philip Curry said. A 62-year-old Passaic County man was killed in a crash on the NJ Turnpike Saturday, March 18, authorities said. Scott Locicero was heading north on the outer roadway in a Chevrolet Silverado, when he struck the left guardrail, traveled across the lanes, and struck the right concrete barrier around 7:05 p.m. in Milltown, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Two Dead In Christmas Crash On NJ Turnpike
A pair of young men were killed in a crash on the NJ Turnpike early Christmas morning, authorities said. Pedro Morales Roias, 28, and Rolando Perez Aragon, 21, both of Bridgeton, were killed when the car they were passengers in tried changing into the lane of a tractor trailer that was trying to pass them on the northbound side in Westampton around 5:15 a.m., New Jersey State Police said. The car's driver, a 30-year-old Bridgeton man, was seriously injured while the truck driver, a 34-year-old Florida man, had minor injuries, police said. The crash remains under investigation.

A car carrier that burst into flames jammed the NJ Turnpike Tuesday, Nov. 8 in Essex County. Three Cadillac Escalades, a Cadillac XT6 and a Chevy Equinox were damaged in the blaze in the right shoulder of the northbound side of the eastern spur near milepost 107.5 around 12:30 p.m., New Jersey State Police said. A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car on the NJ Turnpike in Mercer County Saturday, April 16, authorities said. The crash occurred on the northbound side of the highway in the outer roadway at milepost 68.4 in East Windsor around 12:25 p.m., New Jersey State Trooper Alejandro Goez said.
