Police ID Roselle Scooter Operator Killed By Car In Linden A man on an electric scooter died after he became trapped underneath a vehicle that struck him in Union County on Wednesday, March 20, police said. Lamar McBride, 46, was heading south in the northbound lanes of N. Wood Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle turning onto E. Gibbons Street in Linden around 2:30 p.m, Linden police said. McBride became trapped under the vehicle, which was lifted by the city's firefighters. One Killed In Car Crash: Linden Police A 77-year-old Linden man was killed in a car crash on Tuesday, Oct. 3, police said. Police responded to N Wood Avenue and West Gibbons Street after a GMC SUV making a lefthand turn collided with a Chevy SUV, officers said.. Robert Pozanski, the driver of the GMC was transported to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries, police said. The incident happened around 2:15 p.m. on the 400 block of N. Wood Avenue, Linden police said. The victim, of Elizabeth, was treated on scene then taken to Newark University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, as the others fled, police said.
