Linden Shooting Suspect Nabbed, Police Say A 28-year-old Linden resident was arrested and charged for a shooting that occurred on Thursday, May 4, authorities announced. At 4 p.m., police responded to the 10 block of N. Wood Ave. and found a 26-year-old Linden resident suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen, police said. He was treated at the scene and transported to Newark University Hospital, police said. Michael Yensi was charged with attempted murder in the first degree, aggravated assault in the second degree and several weapons charges, police said. Man, 26, Shot In Linden (Photos) A 26-year-old man was shot in the abdomen in Linden on the afternoon of Thursday, May 4, authorities said. Officers responded to the 10 block of N. Wood Ave and located the victim, who suffered a single gunshot wound, Captain Christopher Guenther said. The victim was treated on scene and transported to Newark University Hospital, Guenther said. The incident remains under investigation by the Linden Police Detective Bureau. Anyone with information is urged to contact Det.
