A missing stop sign may have contributed to a multi-vehicle crash Saturday morning in Ridgewood. One of the drivers was taken by ambulance to the Valley Hospital nearby with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening. The vehicles collided at the intersection of East Ridgewood Avenue and North Irving Street around 9:45 a.m. Aug. 26. A multi-vehicle crash in Ridgewood severely damaged two of them and got a young female driver a summons. A Lexus ES350 and a Honda Odyssey both were removed by Citywide Towing following the crash at North Van Dien and East Ridgewood avenues around 5:45 p.m. Friday, May 12. Pregnant Mom, Infant Hospitalized In Route 208 Crash
A 28-year-old pregnant driver and an infant in the back seat were involved in a multi-vehicle evening rush-hour crash on Route 208, responders said. Their injuries didn't appear serious, witnesses said. The chain-reaction collision occurred on the southbound highway at Virginia Drive shortly after 5 p.m., with the victims' Honda sedan spinning out and hitting a garage for a local garden apartment complex. Borough police and firefighters and the Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded. Some of them were diverted when a rubbernecking crash occurred on the other side of the highway.

Corpse Pops Out Of Hearse, Horse In Trailer OK In North Jersey Crash
You had to see it to believe it, witnesses said: A corpse being taken from a hospital to a funeral home fell out the back of a transport vehicle in a multi-vehicle crash involving a horse trailer on Route 17 in Paramus. Three people were hospitalized, none with serious injuries, in the five-vehicle pileup on the highway's southbound side near the exit for Route 4 around 3:45 p.m. Friday, March 25, Paramus Police Kenneth Ehrenberg said from the scene. Tractor Trailer Driver Dies In Fiery Crash On I-78
A tractor trailer driver died in a fiery crash on Interstate 78 in Somerset County late Wednesday night, authorities said. The multi-vehicle crash involved two tractor trailers and occurred on the eastbound side at milepost 29.4 in Bedminster Township, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Alejandro Goez said. The driver's identity was not immediately released and further details were not available. The right lane remains closed for the accident investigation.

UPDATE: Five minivan occupants had to be hospitalized -- three of whom were extricated by police -- following a multi-vehicle crash that closed the northbound Palisades Interstate Parkway on Saturday for nearly an hour and a half, authorities said.
