Police ID Bayonne Woman Struck, Killed On Route 46 In Parsippany
A 73-year-old Bayonne woman was fatally struck by a vehicle while crossing Route 46 in Parsippany on Monday, April 8, authorities said.
At 11 a.m., Sonia Diaz was crossing Route 46 West at North Beverwyck Road in Parsippany, when she was struck by a Jeep Grand Cherokee, which collided with a second vehicle, a Kia Forte, Megan Knab, a spokeswoman for the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said.
Diaz was pronounced dead at the scene, Knab said. Both drivers remained on scene, Knab said. The investigation is ongoing and there have been no summonses issued, Knab said.

A New Jersey man who used an axe and battery-operated pole saw to kill his dad had been battling addiction and mental illness, according to family and police paperwork.
A blood-covered axe and battery-operated pole saw were found near 61-year-old Gregory Meyer’s body at the Old Denville Road home he shared with his 33-year-old son, Kyle, around 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 24, according to an affidavit for probable cause obtained by Daily Voice.

Christmas Eve Murder: Son Charged With Killing Dad In Morris County
A Morris County son is accused of killing his dad on Sunday, Dec. 24, authorities said.
Kyle Meyer, 33, is believed to have killed his dad, 61-year-old Gregory Meyer, was found dead in the home the two shared around 1:15 p.m. on Old Denville Road in Boonton Township, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll said.
Kyle was found in Paterson around 9 p.m., Carroll said alongside Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, Morris County Sheriff James Gannon, and Boonton Township Police Chief Thomas Cacciabeve.

The bodies of Stanislaw Grezesik, 64, of Clifton, and Tadeusz Florczuk, 76, of Passaic, went on the ice fishing trip at Split Rock Reservoir in Kinnelon on Friday, Dec. 30 — but never returned home, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said.
