Reputed Mobster Who Admitted Staging Robbery Of Union Business Sentenced An Atlantic City man who authorities said is a member of a Philadelphia mob family was sentenced to more than 12 years in prison Thursday for offenses including pretending to rob a Union County business in order to scam its insurance company. Salvatore "Sam" Piccolo, 67, was also sentenced on a charge of distributing 216 grams of methamphetamine in Camden County as well as wire fraud for his part in the staged holdup.
