The operator of four North Jersey restaurants was seized by federal Marshals on Thursday for defying several court orders that he provide information that the U.S. Department of Labor has repeatedly failed to get from him, authorities said. UPDATE: Responders furiously tried to save the life a 7-year-old Paterson boy whom authorities said was stabbed dead by his mother early Saturday. Iris Tolentino, 46, also stabbed the dead boy's 17-year-old brother, who was holding a bathroom closed to keep her restrained until police arrived, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Sometimes the fates are in your favor: When the heart of a spectator at a Paterson girls softball game stopped beating, one of the first to rush to the fallen woman's aid was one of the coaches -- city firefighter John Molina.
