Vehicle Sought In Pipe Assault Robbery, Newark Police Says A man was assaulted with a pipe and robbed in Newark on the early morning of Friday, May 31, authorities said. At 3:41 a.m., two men and a woman struck the man with a metal pipe in his head, face, back and arm on the 400 block of North 5th Street, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. Woman Robbed At Gunpoint In Jersey City: Authorities A woman was robbed at gunpoint by two men in Jersey City early Saturday morning, Sept. 9, authorities said. The woman said two men approached her at Marin Boulevard and York Street and brandished a gun, demanding her purse, which contained her ID, iPhone and credit card, Kimberly Wallace-Scalfione, a spokeswoman for the mayor's office said.
