Brawl At End Of Teaneck HS Basketball Game Versus Hackensack Brings Area Reinforcements
A wave of police from nearly a dozen area law enforcement agencies converged on Teaneck High School after a brawl erupted Thursday night at the end of a two-point boys basketball victory over Hackensack. A girls basketball game against both schools in Hackensack had been canceled following a fight there, which brought extra uniformed and plainclothes officers to the Dec. 14 match at Teaneck High School. Boy Seized With BB Gun At Rutherford HS Playoff Game
A 17-year-old boy who apparently thought it was a good idea to bring a BB gun to Rutherford High School's state playoff game against visiting Hanover Park was quickly taken into custody, authorities said. The Friday night lights made it easy for a concerned citizen to see the weapon, which the boy pulled from his waistband to show other fans near the end of the Nov. 3 game, Rutherford Police Chief John Russo said. : Judge Frees Bergen Woman Charged With Endangerment After Baby Ingests Opioid
A 23-year-old Bergen County woman was arrested after a 6-month-old child ingested and overdosed on an opioid, authorities said. Alia Elsafy of North Arlington was initially jailed, but a Superior Court judge in Hackensack almost immediately ordered her release on Friday, May 26, under New Jersey's bail reform law, records show. A 24-year-old teacher’s aide from Bloomfield was arrested after authorities said he arranged to have sex with a 14-year-old North Arlington boy. Don R.
