Man Fatally Struck By Vehicle In Caldwell: Prosecutors A 68-year-old man was fatally struck by a vehicle in Caldwell on Sunday, Nov. 26, authorities said. At 6:33 p.m., Caldwell police responded to a pedestrian struck near 395 Bloomfield Ave., Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II and Caldwell Police Chief James H. Bongiorno said. Gregory Katz was transported to St. Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson where he was pronounced dead, Stephens and Bongiorno said.
