US Coast Guard Rescues 7 Fisherman From Boat Off Jersey Shore (Video) Seven fishermen were rescued by members of the U.S. Coast Guard as bad weather moved into the Jersey Shore Sunday afternoon. Crew members of the 40-foot sport fishing boat activated their Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) from approximately 69 miles off the coast of Cape May around 1:20 p.m., the Coast Guard said in a statement. A small craft advisory for the area indicated 4-to-6-foot seas with winds gusting up to 30 knots.
