The officers turned off their dash- and body-cams, and failed to report the pursuit, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said. The results were among the first under a new directive for police use-of-force investigations in New Jersey issued earlier this month by state Attorney General Gurbir Grewal.
