A 31-year-old Newark man was convicted of first degree murder on Friday, Jan. 26 for a drive-by shooting in 2019, authorities said. On May 13, 2019, Kenneth Thomas, a 31-year-old Newark resident was gunned down by Ryan Mwangi eight times while sitting in his car, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens, II said. On Thursday, Dec. 21. at 6:30 a.m., the woman went into the mail room of the Citizen Linden apartment building at 307 W.
