Three-Alarm Fire In Jersey City, Two Firefighters Taken To Hospital: Authorities Two firefighters were hospitalized following a three-alarm fire in Jersey City on Wednesday, Sept. 6, authorities said. Firefighters observed a fire inside a vehicle located on a hydraulic lift approximately 7-feet high inside an auto repair building, Kimberly Wallace-Scalfione, a spokeswoman for the mayor's office, said. Despite zero visibility, firefighters were able to contain the fire to the vehicle, Wallace-Scalfione said.
