The Union County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating a shooting that took the life of an Elizabeth man Tuesday morning.
Police were sent to the Mravlag Manor housing complex to investigate reports of gunfire around 2:30 a.m. They found Alfonso James, 27, who had been shot. He was pronounced dead about a half-hour later.
Elizabeth police, the Union County Sheriff and Union County police are also involved in the investigation.
