A four-alarm fire raced through an Elizabeth warehouse Friday morning, Jan. 5, causing it to partially collapse, authorities said.

Firefighters responded at 106 Trumbull Street, the site of the former Singer Sewing Factory, at 5:30 a.m. after receiving reports from witnesses, Ruby Contreras, a spokeswoman for the city said.

There were no injuries and no one was inside of the building when the blaze began, Contreras said. The fire remains under investigation, Contreras said.
