Police: Men Caught With Guns, Drugs For Sale, $12,770 Cash Operated From Paterson Bar
A raid on a Paterson bar and nearby home turned up various amounts of heroin, cocaine, pot, prescription pills and more all packaged for sale, along with two handguns and several rounds of ammo, authorities said.
The state ABC teamed up with city detectives for an investigation that led to Friday night’s raid at Quilvio’s Bar on Main Street, Police Director Jerry Speziale said.

PATERSON, N.J. -- Nine members of a Paterson-based major cocaine supply network were indicted following a joint investigation that involved the Passaic County Sheriff's Office and State Police, authorities said Tuesday.
Investigators seized nearly 18 pounds of cocaine, a small quantity of heroin, 82 pills containing fentanyl, three handguns and more than $76,000 in drug proceeds during what was called “Operation Stillwater,” Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal said.

Paterson PD: Officers Cut Open Dealer's Pants To Retrieve Stolen Handgun
PATERSON, N.J. -- A dealer selling from his car was carrying a loaded gun that Paterson police retrieved by cutting open his pants, authorities said.
Officers Rene Alicea and Christopher Polonkay were on patrol late Friday when in an area known for violent crime, open-air drug sales and gangs,when they saw a man approach a silver Honda Accord driven by Jose R. Espinal-Henriquez, 23, of Paterson, in front of a Market Street liquor store, Police Director Jerry Speziale said.

Mahwah PD: Ex-Con Stopped On Route 17 Had Loaded Gun, $12,000 Drug Cash
MAHWAH, N.J. – Mahwah police seized a loaded gun and $12,000 in suspected drug proceeds while arresting an ex-con after a Route 17 traffic stop, authorities said.
Officers Liam Kantanas and John Lange stopped the white Buick sedan for several violations -- failing to stay right, tinted windows and an obstructed view – around 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Police Chief James N. Batelli said.
The front-seat passenger, 28-year-old Nysheem Mann of Newark, had a small amount of marijuana, prompting the officers to order him and the driver out of the car, the chief said.
