It's set to take place overnight from Wednesday, March 13, into Thursday, March 14. Those in North America will have a prime viewing opportunity to witness the moon undergo a dramatic transformation. During the peak of the eclipse, expected between 2:26 a.m. and 3:31 a.m. Eastern time, the moon will take on a reddish hue, a phenomenon commonly referred to as a "Blood Moon."  Even with some cloud cover, brief breaks in the sky could allow glimpses of this rare event. Report: Climate Change Heating Up N.J. Faster Than Almost All Other States New Jersey's average annual temperature has risen by nearly 2 degrees Celsius since 1895, double the average for the lower 48 states, according to an analysis by The Washington Post.  Of all U.S. states, Alaska's average temperature has risen by the most, followed by Rhode Island and New Jersey. Other states in the Northeast, including Connecticut and Massachusetts, are close behind.  A temperature rise of 2 degrees Celsius is regarded as a critical climate warming threshold. Feds Issue Public Health Alert For Chicken Products Over Possible Salmonella Contamination Federal authorities issued a public health alert Friday over raw chicken products possibly contaminated by Salmonella.
