No number of robbers nor descriptions of them were disclosed by authorities following an early evening holdup of a Passaic pharmacy in which they said shots were fired. Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Chief Luis A. Guzman didn’t identify the business that was robbed shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday, March 16. Responders said it was FAS Pharmacy on Van Houten Avenue off Main Street. An off-duty firefighter alerted residents to a gas-fed blaze that ravaged three homes Saturday morning in Passaic, displacing nearly three dozen people. More than 120 firefighters responded to the fierce four-alarm blaze, which roared across the multi-family dwellings on Oak Street after breaking out shortly after 8 a.m., responders said. Accused Passaic Shooter Captured In Newark
An ex-con from Passaic accused of shooting another city man at a local business early this month was captured in Newark, authorities said. Almalik D. Barnes, 41, was charged with attempted murder, among other counts, in the Nov. 2 Main Street shooting, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Chief Luis A. A 40-year-old Passaic man shot at a Main Street business overnight Saturday made it up the block before police found him, authorities said. Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M.
