Morris County Woman, 25, Killed In Tractor-Trailer Crash, Prosecutor Says
A 25-year-old Morris County woman was killed following a Tuesday morning tractor-trailer crash on Route 46, authorities confirmed. Jen Gorgas, of Netcong, collided with the tractor-trailer as it was exiting the Citgo gas station near Phillips Way in Roxbury around 8:30 a.m., Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said in a release alongside Chief of Detectives Christoph K. Kimker and Roxbury Police Chief Dean Adone. A Rockland man was airlifted to the hospital after he and a female passenger were struck riding a scooter in Northvale. The 48-year-old victim from Piermont was heading north on Livingston Street around 10:30 p.m. when the driver of a sedan made a left into the Citgo gas station and hit the Vespa, Police Chief Howard J. The jackpot winner made the lucky purchase at Citgo on Route 130 North in Willingboro, New Jersey Lottery officials said in a statement on Friday. Wallington police identified and arrested an accused masked robber who they said viciously beat a gas station attendant with a huge hammer while taking $300. A masked robber dressed all in black “like a ninja” attacked a Wallington gas station attendant Tuesday morning with a huge hammer, injuring him and fleeing with what was believed to be a few hundred dollars, authorities said.
