Wanted Paterson Woman, 21, Sends Two Arresting Clifton Officers To Hospital, Police say A 21-year-old Paterson woman was arrested and hit with multiple charges after she assaulted three arresting officers in Clifton, and bit one, on Monday, July 8, authorities said. At 11 p.m., police saw a suspicious vehicle and a passenger, Fadwa Alchamas, who was also the owner of the vehicle, parked on Circle Avenue, Clifton Police Lt. Robert Anderson said. Alchamas gave officers a fake name, but they confirmed her true identity — and that she was wanted out of Somerset County, Anderson said. Clifton PD: Separate Assaults On Women Lead To Pursuits, Struggles, Arrests One of two men chased down by Clifton police in separate assaults on women was carrying a knife, 41 folds of heroin and a crack pipe, authorities said. The incidents occurred within an hour of one another. Officers responding to a report of a 7 p.m. assault Wednesday at Norwood Avenue and Hazel Street began searching for 28-year-old Matthew Johnson of Clifton, Detective Lt. Robert Bracken said.
