Teaneck woman charged in sex-for-cash beating, robbery

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A 22-year-old Teaneck woman who police said offered an Englewood man sex for cash — only to lure him into a robbery in which he had his jaw broken, his arm dislocated and his teeth loosened — was indicted by a Bergen County grand jury for her alleged role in the assault.

The indictment charges Latice Wilson with first-degree robbery and aggravated assault, among other offenses, in what police said was an attack on the 59-year-old man by her 17-year-old boyfriend. She’s also charged with conspiring with the teen to commit armed robbery.

The man told investigators he’d arranged to meet Wilson for sex, gave her $60 and was led behind the two-story West Tryon Avenue building off Teaneck Road last Nov. 27.

There, he said, he was jumped by the 6-foot-2-inch assailant wearing a ski mask who punched him in the jaw and stomped on him.

The attacker took off with the remaining $150 in cash and several credit cards that the victim said he had in his wallet, Detective Ed Kazmierczak told CLIFFVIEW PILOT shortly after the crime.

Wilson — who police said left her 2-year-old son alone in her apartment with the keys — began furiously ringing doorbells, telling people “please let me in,” as the victim was coming to, Kazmierczak said.

Meanwhile, her child could be hear screaming in the apartment, he said.

Neighbors immediately called police, who found the bloodied victim in the parking lot. He was taken to Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck.

Teaneck and Englewood officers took the city teen into custody and signed delinquent complaints against him.

The 5-foot-6-inch, 124-pound Wilson remained held this morning on $150,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail — reduced from an original $350,000.

The grand jury also charged her with child neglect, as well as with altering text messages to try and cover up her boyfriend’s alleged role in the mugging.
