Members of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service intercepted the shipment, addressed to a Voorhees Street residence, then contacted Teaneck police, Chief Robert A. Wilson said tonight.

Those involved had no connection to that address, Wilson said.

“They picked the location for the delivery due to its proximity to the George Washington
Bridge,” he said.

Around 12:15 yesterday afternoon, Kewing A. Paez, 20, collected the package at the Teaneck post office after calling to ask about its whereabouts, Wilson said.

As got into a car outside the building, police and inspectors moved in. Arrested with Paez was the driver, 25-year-old Angel F. Martinez of East 178th Street in the Bronx.

Both were charged with drug possession with the intent to distribute it.

A second passenger was released without being charged, Wilson said.

Paez and Martinez are being held on $25,000 bail each at the Bergen County Jail.
