Kenneth M. Valenzeula, 31, of Totowa was speeding when a detective stopped his southbound 2016 Honda Odyssey in the local lanes, Police Chief Glenn M. O’Reilly said Wednesday.

Valenzuela “exhibited suspicious behavior and was evasive when questioned,” O’Reilly said. “Later, it was discovered that the driver had an active warrant for his arrest and his vehicle was impounded.“

Detectives later obtained a search warrant and found the bundled cash and “kilo pressing” machines, the chief said.

Valenzuela was released pending a Sept. 13 hearing in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack on charges of money laundering and distribution of drug paraphernalia, he said.
