Jose L. Paz was carrying a small amount of marihuana, packaging materials and a digital scale when he was stopped on Tuesday, Police Chief Robert A. Carney said.
Detectives who obtained a warrant found more pot, paraphernalia and another scale in his home -- along with 19 assorted blunt and edged weapons, the chief said.
Altogether they seized nearly two ounces of marijuana, along with the weapons -- which brought charges for both.
Paz was released on a summons, with a first appearance set for next Wednesday in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
