Pedestrian Struck Outside FDU In Teaneck Dies At Hospital

TEANECK, N.J. -- A pedestrian struck by a car outside the FDU campus in Teaneck died at the hospital, authorities said.

The woman was struck just before 7 a.m. at 1000 River Road.

The call came in from the 1000 block of River Road just before 7 a.m., Deputy Police Chief Glenn O'Reilly told Daily Voice.

The victim "was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries," while the driver of the Subaru Outback "remained on scene," the deputy chief says.

The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit was assisting township police, O'Reilly said.

The county sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Identification collected evidence, he said.
