Paterson Police Charge Lodi Ex-Con In Street Holdup

PATERSON, N.J. -- Paterson police charged an ex-con from Lodi with three counts of armed robbery and weapons offenses in connection with the theft of three men's cell phones.

Authorities were still searching for an an accomplice who they said was with Kahseem Allah-Shabazz, 38.

Police said they recovered a loaded, semi-automatic handgun at the scene and heroin in Allah-Shabazz's car after the 2 a.m. call Friday, Nov. 6, at 4th Avenue and East 17th Street.
