Carlos Cepeda, 18, was released after posting $25,000 bail on various drug and weapons charges, Capt. John A. Faggello said.

Police on Tuesday were still searching for co-defendant Denzel Castro, who was supposed to turn himself in on similar charges on on Friday, Faggello said.

Anyone with information that could help them find him was asked to call Teaneck PD: (201) 837-2600.

A drug investigation led to the raid that day at 52 Amsterdam Avenue, the captain said.

The handgun was reported stolen from a residence in the Poconos in 2015, he said.

Police Chief Robert Carney thanked the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office's K-9 unit, which assisted in the raid.
