Robert Harris, 38, has a history of car burglaries, in addition to other crimes – including fighting with police who arrested him for car break-ins in Maywood five years ago, records show.

Teaneck police who were looking for him also arrested Vanessa Gallego and Kyshan Hawkins in Englewood.

All three were identified from surveillance video by Rochelle Park Police Officer Ryan Burke after they tried using credit cards stolen from vehicles at 7 Eleven stores in Hackensack and Lodi, Police Chief Robert Carney said Wednesday.

Burke had stopped the trio in Rochelle Park on Oct. 17.

The following morning, Teaneck police began getting car burglary reports from residents on Schley Place, Julia Street, Stasia Street, Carlton Terrace, Columbus Drive, Red Road, Beaumont Avenue, Bogert Street and Pinewood Place, the chief said.

“By the end of the day, a total of 16 car burglaries were reported,” he said.

Stolen items included an iPod, a laptop, a wallet with cash and credit cards, headphones, and assorted change, Carney said.

Teaneck Detectives Gabriel Santiago and Michael Sunga nabbed Gallego and Hawkins near her Englewood home last week, the chief said.

They posted $7,500 bail each and were released pending initial Nov. 9 appearances in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack on burglary and theft charges.

Meanwhile, Carney asked that anyone who has seen or knows where to find Harris call Teaneck police: (201) 837-2600.

You could also remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 cash, he said, by Crimestoppers of Bergenfield, Englewood, Teaneck, and Hackensack: (201) 833-4222.
