Englewood bicyclist hospitalized after hitting deer at Teaneck intersection

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A 30-year-old bicyclist from Englewood was hospitalized with bumps, bruises and scratches after colliding with a pair of deer at a Teaneck intersection last night.

The bicyclist was headed downhill at Englewood Avenue and Hubert Terrace when the two large deer dashed across the road just after 10 p.m., Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps Capt. Izzy Infield told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this morning.

Knocked from his bike, the rider got up and began walking around as witnesses dialed 911. The deer — one of whom apparently was injured — dashed off.

The bicyclist was taken to Englewood Hospital and Medical Center.
