Denzel Castro was being held on $70,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with various counts of drug possession as well as having booby traps in a “drug distribution faclity,” among others, following an investigation that began in May, Police Chief Robert A. Carney said.

A first appearance in Teaneck Municipal Court was set for this Monday afternoon.

Hours after posting bail for a burglary arrest last November, Castro exchanged flames with a Facebook commenter on a local media site.

“I’ve seem Denzel Castro on my block on Amsterdam Avenue, in Teaneck, riding a dirt bike with no plates,” the poster wrote. “Yeah….this is usually how criminals begin their long bad-rap-sheet careers. How come the parents of these young kids don’t take care of these young soon-to-be criminals !!!”

Castro, who was released earlier in the day on $10,000 bail, responded with a fellatio reference and a brag that he can “always pop bail.”

“smd u bitch,” his post said. “i run the streets of teaneck n i always pop bail i don’t sleep in the county.”

Records show that Castro did spend the night in the county jail in October month after being busted in Englewood and Teaneck on traffic violations.

Weeks later, Teaneck police said they grabbed him and another man following a Grant Terrace burglary.

Castro rode off on a stolen bicycle and was spotted by a patrolman moments after the break-in, while his accomplice drove off in a Mercedes Benz that they said they later found.

A resident called as the arrests were being made to tell police he’d found electronics in his trash can — the burglary proceeds.
