Teaneck Discusses Plans To Evacuate During A Hazardous Spill

TEANECK, N.J. -- The Teaneck Emergency Management Coordinator will hold a series of public meetings at the Police Department to discuss evacuation protocol in the event of a hazardous spill along the the CSX railroad.

A series of meetings to discuss evacuation routes in the event of a hazardous CSX rail spill will be held at the Teaneck Police Department.

Meetings will make use of arial photographs to show residents where, and how far they would need to evacuate in the event of a spill. 

Meetings will be held on the following dates and times:

  • Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 10 a.m.
  • Thursday, Aug. 20 at 7 p.m. 
  • Friday, Aug. 28 at 10 a.m.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 7 p.m. 
  • Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 10 a.m.

Meetings will be brief, but detailed. Residents need only attend one of the meetings. 

The Teaneck Police Department is located at 900 Teaneck Rd.
