TEANECK, N.J. -- Cat license renewals begin on Friday, April 1, for Teaneck residents. Cat owners will have until May 31 to renew their cat licenses, before late fees kick in.
The license fee is $13 for cats that aren't spayed or neutered -- and $10 for those that are spayed or neutered. A $15 late fee will be added as of June 1.
Residents with new cats or who need renewal applications can get paperwork at the service window located at the New Municipal Building -- through the South Entrance, 1st Floor, 818 Teaneck Rd. -- or online, here. You must provide proof of current rabies vaccination at the time of licensing.
Free rabies shots can be arranged through the Teaneck Animal Clinic and Spa at 201-530-5833 or the Bergen Veterinary Hospital at 201-837-3470. Rabies shots that expire before Feb. 1, 2017, are not valid for licensing purposes.
Payment can be made by cash, money order or checks, made payable to the Township of Teaneck. Contact the Animal Licensing Division at 201-837-1600, ext. 1500, with any questions.
