Barry Sheinkopf is a well-known writing coach and editor in the area who has directed The Writing Center in Englewood Cliffs for many years. A novelist, poet, and essayist, he has published nine volumes of mass market fiction, nonfiction, and poetry." What There Was," which recently appeared, is his fourth collection of poetry.
Sheinkopf has worked for many years as an editor with Random House, Pergamon, Raven, and other traditional publishing houses. He also runs the book design firm of Bookshapers.com, and acts as publisher of Full Court Press—a boutique self publishing house (with over 175 titles currently in print and on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.com) offering clients access to books that fully emulate the editorial standards, look, and feel of traditional presses. He is an adjunct professor of English at the College of Staten Island and an active member of both the Authors Guild and Mystery Writers of America.
