Victim Extricated, Hospitalized In Sparta Crash One person was extricated and taken to a nearby hospital following a late night crash in Sparta on Tuesday, Nov. 21, authorities said. The Sparta Township Fire Department responded to the crash on Woodport Road near Mara Boulevard just after 12 a.m. Crews rescued the trapped victim in under eight minutes, they said. The victim was then taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
