DWI Crash: Driver Arrested After Head-On Collision In Fair Lawn A driver was led away in handcuffs following a head-on Thanksgiving Eve crash in Fair Lawn. Members of the Hawthorne Volunteer Ambulance Corps took two occupants to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center's Wayne facility after the Nissan Rogue and Honda CRV collided at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Wagaraw Road around 7:30 p.m. Nov. 22. The extent of their injuries couldn't be determined. The Nissan driver who was arrested didn't appear injured. Fair Lawn firefighters also responded. Belfi's Towing removed the vehicles. Boyd A. The pickup driver, William Clark, 38, of Hawthorne, was charged with vehicular homicide -- also known as death by auto -- in connection with the Oct. 5 crash that killed Harold Almonte, a 33-year-old alternative R&B singer/songwriter. The Honda CR-V slammed into the pole alongside the BP station just south of the Lincoln Avenue bridge at Wagaraw Road around 1 a.m. April 10. Detective 'Buyers' Nab Accused Fair Lawn Thief Selling Stolen Bicycle Online A Fair Lawn resident who swiped two bicycles and several packages was caught after borough detectives responded to his Facebook ad selling one of the bikes, authorities said. Detective Mark Wyka and Detective Sgt. Nick Snyder found the Facebook ad and got in touch with Jordan Meyers, 23, asking to see the bicycles, Sgt. Brian Metzler said. Meyers arranged to meet them at a Wagaraw Road business, then ran after he realized they were police, Metzler said.
