NJ Man Arrested For Selling Heroin, Coke Hours After Parole Release Under Murphy COVID Law
A Sussex County man was arrested for selling heroin and crack cocaine, just hours after being released from parole supervision last week, authorities said.
Leighton A. Brown, 42, of Newton, was arrested at his home last Wednesday, and charged with distribution of heroin and crack cocaine, as well as selling CDS within 1,000 feet of a school zone, police said.
Brown was released from parole supervision on Nov. 4, under Gov. Murphy’s COVID-19 law that reduced and ended parole time, police said.
He was being held at Morris County Jail in accordance with the Criminal Justice Reform Act.

Police: Trio Selling Heroin, Ecstasy Busted In Sussex County Traffic Stop
Two women and a man accused of selling heroin and ecstasy were arrested following a traffic stop in Sussex County Wednesday, authorities said.
Lisa M. Repici, 31, of Newton, Dominick J. Wilson, 34, of Paterson and Shaunamarie C. Orlando, 30, of Wantage were charged with various possession and distribution offenses for heroin and ecstasy after the Newton stop, police said.
Repici and Wilson were being held at the Morris County Jail. Orlando was issued a summons and has been released, authorities said.

'I Know What It's Like To Be Sick,' Says Sussex County Woman Admitting Role In Drug Deal
A Sussex County woman involved in an alleged drug operation as the “middleman” will avoid jail time after accepting a plea, reports say.
Stacy Sisco, 37, of Franklin, was arrested in February directly after delivering heroin to people she said were “sick.” One of them turned out to be a witness working alongside the Sussex County Narcotics TASK Force, NJHerald reports.
“I know what it’s like to be sick; they called me up crying,” Sisco said during a virtual Sussex County court appearance, the report said. “It was my mistake to help them out.”
