That’s because, for 18 years, customers could count on seeing her cheerful smile behind the counter at Angelo’s Bakery in Newton, which her family owned until late 1996. In her younger years, she worked at and lived above an older family business, Vitiello’s Bakery in Newark, her obituary says. State Police: Man, 44, Airlifted With Serious Injuries In Sussex County Sledding Accident A 44-year-old man was airlifted with serious injuries after a sledding accident in Sussex County Sunday evening, state police said. The accident occurred near Cedar Ridge Road and Wall Street in Stillwater Township just before 6 p.m., NJSP Trooper Alejandro Goez told Daily Voice. The man was airlifted to Morristown Medical Center with several injuries, Goez said. Additional details were not immediately available.

State Trooper Lowers Partner On Rope To Rescue Hiker, Dog Trapped On Sussex County Cliff A New Jersey State Trooper was lowered by rope to rescue a hiker and his dog after they became lost on a trail in a wooded Sussex County area. Troopers from the Sussex Station were sent to the area off of Yellow Frame Road in Fredon after the victim called 9-1-1 reporting he was stuck on a steep incline at the bottom of a cliff on Monday around 7:45 p.m., State Police said.
