Trio Of Winners! Three North Jersey Powerball Players Score $50K
Three North Jersey Powerball players kicked off their week with a bang.
The trio, two in Bergen County and one in Passaic County, matched four numbers plus the red Powerball in the drawing held on Monday, March 25, winning $50,000.
The tickets were sold at Leprechaun News in Rutherford, ShopRite in Elmwood Park and Stop and Shop in Ringwood.
The winning numbers were 7, 11, 19, 53, 68 and the red Powerball was 23.
American Dream: Pizza Chefs From Italy Open Bergen County Restaurant
Five immigrants, three of whom are pizza chefs from Italy, have opened a Bergen County restaurant in pursuit of the American Dream.
Culto Italiano, or the Italian vibe, opened on Dec. 1 at 49 W. Church Street in Bergenfield.The three pizza chefs are 31-year-old Corrado Cervelli, 23-year-old Angelo Riccio, Gianni Massaro. The other two owners are Tammy Castellanos and her husband, Ariel Castellanos, of Rutherford.

A lottery ticket sold at Leprechaun News in Bergen County found a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
A lottery ticket worth $20,000 was sold at the Rutherford store on Friday, April 14, matching four of the five white balls, the Gold Mega Ball.
Another $20,000 winning ticket was sold at Goldy's in Bayonne. Both tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option.

Rutherford Resident Accused Of Brandishing Gun
A tax consultant from Rutherford was arrested for pointing a loaded gun during a dispute, authorities said.
Gerard Losardo, 35, remained held in the Bergen County Jail on Monday, March 13, records show.
He was seized at his home without incident on Friday after allegedly brandishing a legally registered .40-caliber handgun that night, Rutherford Deputy Police Chief Sean Farrell said.
The 6-foot-6, 330-pound Losardo is charged with aggravated assault, criminal restraint, simple assault, making terroristic threats and a weapons offense.
