Dive In! New And Improved Newton Town Pool Prepares To Reopen After Two Years Get your swimsuits ready: Newton’s town pool is reopening this weekend after closing for repairs nearly two years ago. The pool closed in September 2018 due to an estimated $270,000 worth of repairs, which ended up totaling around $400,000, NJHerald reports. The improvements — recommended by a group of engineers — included the removal of the pool’s old plaster finish, the addition of stairs for children, seniors and individuals with disabilities as well as the reinforcement of its structure for longevity, the report says.
