Both Drivers Hospitalized Following Head-On Crash In Northampton County Both drivers were hospitalized Sunday evening following a head-on crash in Northampton County, authorities said. The crash occurred on Lehigh Drive at Gap View Drive around 5:35 p.m., Lehigh Township Police Chief Scott Fogel said in a release. An eastbound Hyundai Sonata driven by Tanya Piccolo, 33, of Palmerton, collided head-on with a Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Gregory Bredbenner, 61, of Northampton, on Lehigh Drive, Fogel said. Woman, 80, Dies In Lehigh Valley Crash An 80-year-old woman died at the hospital following a Wednesday afternoon crash in the Lehigh Valley area, authorities said. Brenda Kohler of Northampton was driving on the 500 block of Cherryville Road in Lehigh Township when she was struck by another vehicle just after 4:30 p.m., according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office. Kohler was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg and pronounced dead around 5:25 p.m., authorities said. An autopsy showed Kohler’s death to be accidental in nature and caused by multiple blunt force injuries from the crash. Kohler was apparently a member …
