Recognize him? Police are seeking the public’s help identifying a man they say tried to break into a Morris County business and caused damage to another commercial property. The man pictured above is wanted for questioning in an attempted commercial burglary and criminal mischief/property damage incident in Mountain Lakes, local police said on Wednesday, August 10. The incident occurred just before 11:55 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, police said. A fiery crash snapped a utility pole and shut down Route 46 in Morris County, authorities said. The Mountain Lakes Volunteer Fire Department responded to the crash near Route 46 west and Fox Hill Lane around 6:55 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, the company said. Upon arrival, the crews confirmed that a car had slammed into and snapped a utility pole, which resulted in several hanging wires and a “significant” fire on a second pole further down the road, the department said. 3-Car Crash Causes Fluid Leak On Route 46
A three-car crash caused a fluid leak on Route 46 Tuesday morning, authorities said. The vehicles collided and began leaking fluid near Route 46 and Boulevard in Mountain Lakes just after 7:35 a.m., the local volunteer fire department said. Crew members worked to absorb the leaking fluids and requested a towing company to the scene, which was cleared in about 25 minutes. “Thankfully no injuries or entrapment were reported,” the department said. SUV Struck During Crash Slams Into Morris County Home
A car crashed into a parked SUV and caused it to slam into a Morris County home Thursday afternoon, authorities said. Emergency crews responding to the crash near Morris Avenue and Crane Road in Mountain Lakes found the SUV pushed into the home’s garage just after 3:20 p.m., the local volunteer fire department said. Further investigation found that a moving vehicle had hit the parked vehicle and pushed it forward into the garage, the department said. Officers Rescue Baby Fox Trapped In Morris County Resident’s Backyard Netting
Animal control officers were quick to free a baby fox that got tangled in the netting of a Morris County resident’s backyard. The Mountain Lakes resident contacted officers after seeing that the fox had gotten stuck, News12 New Jersey reported Tuesday. With the help of two Mountain Lakes police officers and animal control, the fox was untangled and quickly released.

Police in Morris County are seeking help identifying a man accused of stealing yard signs in Mountain Lakes last week. The man pictured above was caught on surveillance footage and is accused of stealing signs in the area of Morris Avenue just after 7:30 p.m. Oct. 16, police said. Last week, police in Denville were trying to identify a woman captured on surveillance footage stealing pro-police signs from several front yards.
