The Vernon resort cranked out some fresh powder to open one slope last Saturday and Sunday (both days a high of 38 degrees), the earliest opening in Mountain Creek history. Mountain Creek Pool Technician Justin Lazier, 32, Was 'Never Without A Smile' Justin K. Lazier of Vernon died unexpectedly on Monday, July 15 at St. Anthony’s Community Hospital in Warwick, N.Y. He was 32 years old. A Newton native, Justin graduated from Vernon High School and was a pool technician for Mountain Creek Resort in Vernon, his obituary says. He loved being outdoors, particularly in the snow, and was remembered for his positivity.
