High Point Regional High School Whooping Cough A member of the High Point Regional High School community in Sussex has been diagnosed with pertussis, more commonly known as whooping cough, Superintendent Scott Ripley said in a letter to parents and staff on Thursday, Feb. 15. Ripley did not say if it was a student or staffer who was diagnosed with the highly contagious disease but urged parents to keep their children home from school if they come down with a cold followed by a cough.
